I'm a Busy Bee
This week's been hectic, but I took a break yesterday and slept a whole lot since my lecture's in the evening. I'm a hazard to the roads when I'm sleepy, I really should get more sleep when I can. Sadly though, it doesn't feel like I can do so the coming weeks. I've got 5 paper reviews coming up, and you know how much I detest reading papers that are crappy! I've also got to present a paper on Tuesday OMG NO REST! Also, reading other people's source code is a pain, especially when some of their comments are written in the Romanian language. O.o Yes you heard me right, ROMANIAN. Trying to modify it to make it "my own", put in a "touch of LuVeLLe". :P

Teaching results are out, and I'm teaching CS3103. Oh man! I was really rooting for CS2105, which is Networks I, where most of the students are still in the "blur stage". Those that take Networks II are the more ambitious ones who survived Networks I and want to try something harder. But seriously though, I think they've cut down too much of the syllabus. NUS undergrad modules are getting wayyy too easy. Sheesh. Now CS3103 doesn't even have lab; they have a separate module for CS3103 lab.

PS: Yeay I found my Layla Kaylif song, after many many searches.

Well, lab work for Networks II is now done in CS3103L, which is a 2 MC module. However, any one who takes CS3103 must take CS3103L at the same time, so labs still form an essential part of the course.

It's not just CS3103 la. Everything also cut. What I mean is that a 4-MC module is now a 6-MC module, which means students now have a lighter workload. Also, it'd be nice to identify yourself.

Oh.... Didn't know thet actually have a separate lab module! Like so... Intersting. And total of 6MC for module + lab!? That's like a giveaway!!!! Hur.

But still there are easy modules out there made tough by NUS. Zzz.

Lol yeah... 2MC for lab (CS3103L). Doesn't really make sense right? Thought it should all come as a package. It's like how they removed CS2105 lab and replaced it with a project. I think labs are useful, even though they're stressful.

I think they reduced the syllabus for most modules though. Ming told me CS1102 doesn't even do hashes or heaps etc. when he taught the lab last semester. O.o Remember how xiong it was back then for us? Even CS1104 has been 'upgraded' and is now CS2100, when it's the most basic module! The semester I took CS1104, they even taught the computer architecture for pipelining and we had to move 'wires' around to fit different types of architecture. I remember they cut that out after that semester liao. :P

Hehehz. True. Sometimes you learn more from labs then projects anyway. Hohoho!

Things have changed! Don't know is it good or bad. =\
